De Profundis and Meat Train to play free London gig

Throughout 2017 De Profundis have been celebrating ten years as a recording band, a decade since the release of their first album, Beyond Redemption. The celebrations began with a UK tour with Taake and Fen, followed by a full European jaunt alongside David Vincent’s I Am Morbid, gore metal legends Necrophagia, Helsott and openers The Heretic Order. Next was the release of Decayed: 2007 – 2017, a career retrospective collection featuring a brand new track, “An Orgy Of Grotesqueries”, that was given away free with 10,000 copies of Zero Tolerance Magazine. Now, they bring down the curtain on their anniversary celebrations with a special gig, back at the venue where the whole De Profundis story began…

On October 21st De Profundis return to The Unicorn in Camden, London where they played their first ever gig. Playing the Unicorn not only gives the perfect historical balance to this conclusion of De Profundis’ 10th anniversary year, it also allows them to make the night a free entry show, so as many fans as possible will be able to share in the celebrations. The band will be drawing heavily on the Decayed album for their set list and for some of the older songs this may be the last time they are ever performed, as De Profundis prepare for the next chapter in their career with the 2018 release of their fifth album.

ing De Profundis will be fellow Imperative PR band, Meat Train who will be officially launching their monstrous new album, Random Acts Of Carnage, which will be unleashed by Contagion Records on September 29th. Meat Train are seasoned live performers who have left a trail of blood and destruction across territories as far flung as Thailand, The Philippines and Vietnam, even headlining the prestigious Nepal Deathfest in Kathmandu and decimating the audience with a performance no attendee will ever forget.

With their new video, “Block 11” – a no holds barred reminder and unequivocal condemnation of the horrors perpetrated in the name of Nazi – just released, Meat Train are hungry to be back on the stage and they will make their presence felt in no uncertain times on October 21st. Live encounters with these blood thirsty beasts come with a sense of danger you can almost taste. When the Meat Train rolls into town, you better be ready…

Making the night complete will be an opening performance from exciting death metal prospect ATVM.

Note that this is not a ticketed gig – get there early to ensure you get in!
