December the 6th marks the landing of the very first Hollywood Undead comic; Hollywood Undead: Origins, written by renowned comic writer Paul Allor. Tying in with the group’s 5th studio record FIVE, the story follows the group uncovering a deadly plot overseen by a corrupt city councilman, attempting to destroy alternative culture.
From the forthcoming album, three singles have already been released, these being “California Dreaming”, “Whatever It Takes” and “Renegade”. Check out “California Dreaming” below and the other tracks on the band’s YouTube page.
Johnny 3 Tears comments:
We’re five brothers, and this is our fifth record, nothing gets to the essence of the music like this number does. Numerology has a lot of power. When we said Five, it just made sense. The fact that we could all agree on one word codifies who we are. It also nods back to “No. 5” from our first album, because it was our fifth song. Moreover, it hints at this secret society of fans ing us for the past decade. The number is significant, and this is a significant moment for us.
And if all this wasn’t enough for a Hollywood Undead fan, the band hit the UK next January for a few select dates in promotion of FIVE. See if they’ll be in a city near you below.
January
- 24th – O2 Academy, Glasgow
- 25th – Academy, Manchester
- 26th – O2 Academy, Birmingham
- 27th – The LCR UEA, Norwich
- 30th – KOKO, London
The 56-page comic can be ordered from the band’s website alongside the record and tickets for shows.
