On Tour Now: Vigil of War

Currently on their debut UK tour with rave reviews already are Hollywood sleaze punk band Vigil of War. Their debut 5 track EP, Bite The Bullet, came out in 2017 with new single “Choke” out in October last year. The band consist of Alicia Vigil (vocals/bass), Shane Taylor (guitar/keyboard/bass), Chris Wilson (drums) and London Stancy (guitar).

Formed in 2017 Vigil of War quickly established themselves on the local scene with Alicia’s blend of The Distillers meets Halestorm with a touch of the Runaways thrown in for good measure. The band cut their teeth playing on the Sunset Strip, calling the world famous Whisky A Go Go their home base, having played there numerous times. They started as the opening band on a 6 band bill and worked up to their first headlining gig less than a year later.

Unfortunately London Stancy will not be ing them on the UK tour as he cannot get the time off work. However, the amazingly talented Kiki Wongo will be covering duties. She has not only played with Alicia Vigil in a band called She Demons, but was also part of the initial Vigil of War recording process – contributing guitar to the first song “Bite The Bullet”.

If you want to catch some real rock ‘n’ roll music delivered on stage with all the gusto of Iggy Pop in his prime then get yourselves along to the remaining dates as this may be one of the last times you see this band up close and personal. The Moshville Times will be covering the Edinburgh Bannermans gig, so see you all down the front rocking out to one of L.A.’s best young bands.

Remaining tour dates are:

  • Feb 6 – London The Lounge at Nightclub Kolis
  • Feb 7 – Newcastle Trillian’s Rock Bar
  • Feb 8 – Edinburgh Bannerman’s Bar
  • Feb 9 – Carlisle Rockmantic Weekender at The Brickyard
