We’ll Be There: HRH Metal 4

The days are counting down until the doors of the O2 Academy Birmingham will be flung open and the venue will be hosting what is now the fourth rendition of HRH Metal. Occurring on the 15th and 16th of February, the event promises to showcase a wide variety of metal and judging by the lineup, they will certainly be doing that.

Having begun in 2017, HRH Metal was pitched as a new two days indoor festival to showcase a mix of both up and coming and established metal acts. With over 4000 people attending the first rendition, the organisers quickly realised they were onto a winner, particularly when the 2018 edition of the festival sold out six months prior to the event. 2019 proved to be another stellar year with the event being sold out as well and going down extremely well with both the media and fans alike. So with that being said, let’s take a look at some of the bands on offer at this year’s festival which we think are worth checking out.

  • Equilibrium – Having recently released their new album Renegades, and being renowned for delivering fantastic sets, the German metallers are sure to go down a storm at this year’s event.
  • Skiltron – Who doesn’t love a bit of folk metal. The Argentinians have a new album scheduled to come out this year as well so there may be an appearance of a new track.
  • Raised By Owls – Having packed the new blood stage at Bloodstock a few years back, these guys are sure to put on a performance that’ll be the talk of the weekend.
  • Dead Label – A favourite of many of us here at the site. Having ed titan’s of the genre including Gojira, there’s a good chance that these guys will deliver a fantastic performance.
  • Krysthla – Another favourite of the site, these guys can simply do no wrong. Having opened the mainstage at Bloodstock last year, you can be sure that this band will deliver the goods.
  • Seprevation – Good old thrash metal from Bristol. What’s not to like?
  • Evil Scarecrow – Need we say more?

HRH Metal takes place at O2 Academy Birmingham on the 15th & 16th February.

Tickets are still available starting at £25 with a special 50% off offer on at the moment if you hurry.
