Slam Dunk 2020 shifts to September

The benefit of a single-day festival (or a pair of single-days in different places) is that it’s easier to rearrange than a 3-or-more day event. As such, Slam Dunk have announced that they’ve managed to rearrange this year’s May dates to September. Specifically:

  • Saturday 5th September (North – Leeds Temple Newsam)
  • Sunday 6th September (South – Hatfield House)

Also, the majority of announced acts have been able to reconfirm for later in the year so the excellent lineup is predominantly maintained. Both headliners, Don Broco and Sum 41, have said they’ll be remaining on the bill and the remainder will be confirmed shortly.

Huge credit must be given to the organisers more making the decision to postpone rather than cancel (the decision partly made for them as Leeds City Council have banned all large events until June), and pull out all the stops to rearrange what is a hell of a logistical task. A number of hotels and transport companies are now allowing free amendments to bookings so we hope the majority of you can take advantage of that. Additional add-ons, like parking tickets, afterparty tickets and shuttle buses will remain valid for the rescheduled dates.

We know we’re looking forward to the delayed party – see you there!
