The Moshville Times - Uprising V kicks off next week

Uprising have confirmed that the planned three-day event is going ahead, and is starts next Friday – June 24th! A message from the organisers:

We imagine (as we are fans as well as organisers) that everyone is waiting for “that” post, well… it isn’t coming!

We’ve seen so many events cancel last minute often for completely understandable reasons but most of them financial, low sales are the norm these days unless it’s an event that sells out year on year, people justifiably (I’ve done the same) hold out and hold out just in case they “lose” their money.

Well we are not going anywhere, yes obviously we implore you to buy your ticket ASAP and yes we could do with another 400 or so of you doing that, but that is purely for our own reasons, simple things like having no idea how many event t-shirts to order because we have no idea how many folk will turn up on the day, no idea how to make the best use of the space because we have no idea how many folk will turn up on the day, no idea how many teabags we need because we have no idea how many folk will turn up on the day.

We have always been 100% transparent with you and hope to believe you have confidence in us as not being another “last minute cancellation” and this long winded post is merely to put in writing exactly that WE ARE HAPPENING!!

If it’s 400 of you beautiful people or 1400 of you the doors will open and we will give you another Uprising!

The costs are not yours to worry about, as they aren’t for any other event you attend, they’re ours to bear, we also need the wonderful O2 Academy Leicester on our side. As an event they can trust and give us the dates we want when we want them and that responsibility lies with all of us.

Uprising 2019 was amazing and I think we pulled another stunner out of the bag for 2022.

Have a look at the bands have a look at the price (from £25 for all three days) and maybe if you’ve never been before, take a punt!

If you’ve been before we need you now more than ever to fill those spaces in front of the stages.

O2 Leicester is made for Uprising there’s outside chill out space unlike many.

You can party till 4am at Firebug after the bands if you’re hardcore!
