A band we’ve featured a few times before, Mad Hatter 2.0 from Exeter, made two announcements on their facebook page today. The first one I spotted was the the surprise unveiling of their new video which wasn’t due to be unleashed for a while longer. The second explained why.
Sadly, frontman Marc has been dealing with some mental health issues for some time and despite fighting bravely on for far longer than I’m sure many people could appreciate, things have just become too much for him. With immediate effect, the band have called a halt to things. They won’t be looking to replace Marc and I guess we’ll find out in due course what the remaining get up to.
In the meantime, all performances due in 2016 will no longer be going ahead – this includes Breaking Bands and Wildfire. All merch orders will, of course, be fulfilled while stocks last so anyone who’s paid for CDs, shirts and the like won’t be out of pocket.
