Saturday Video Roundup (Dream Theater, 30,000 Monkies, Ragestorm, JD Allan)

Another bumper crop of recent releases to get you going for the weekend. As ever, if you like ’em then check the bands out and give them some lurrrve (i.e. money).

Dream Theater – “Our New World”

The kings of prog metal made a comeback with The Astonishing in January. Here’s one of the 34 tunes from this 2-disc concept opus.

30,000 Monkies – “Coproliet”

From prog to experimental noise/sludge – quite the change. 30,000 Monkies released their debut album, the wonderfully-titled I Ate Myself To Grow Twice As Big, recently. Here’s a very strange video from it.

Ragestorm – “Moloch”

An interesting video from Italian deathsters Ragestorm next. It’s taken from their debut album The Thin Line Between Hope And Ruin which was released in February.

JD Allan – “Lonely Boy”

After all that high-tempo noise and violence, time to chill out with a mellow bit of rock and roll courtesy of JD Allan. This is his new single and is available on pretty much every digital platform as of yesterday.
