Yeah, go on – dance a jig for Friday. Here’s some music to get your jiggle on to…
EasyTrigger – “One Way Out”
While the recording of Easy Trigger’s new album, Ways Of Perseverance, is going on at Hate Recording Studio, the first single and video “One Way Out” is online now. Expect to see the album in September.
Double Experience – “The Glimmer Shot”
Self-confessed “nerd rockers” Double Experience aren’t the first band to dedicate a song to a video game, but this is a damn fine one. In fact, their recent album Unsaved Progress is full of them. “The Glimmer Shot” is a tribute to Destiny.
The Five Hundred – “Winters”
Currently on tour throughout the UK with Taken, The Five Hundred have just released a video from their debut EP. Dealing in an array of down-tuned riffs and barbed hooks performed on beastly 8-string guitars, the band unleash an avalanche of crushing technical groove and belligerent aggression, broken up by some searing leads, haunting vocal melodies and devastating, earth-shaking breakdowns.
Capsize – “Tear Me Apart”
As post-hardcore act Capsize gear up to release their sophomore album worldwide (exc. North America), via Rude Records on 22nd July 2016, the quartet have unveiled their latest video single. Featuring Brendan Murphy from Counterparts, the video is below. Vocalist Daniel Wand explains
This one goes out to anyone that has ever felt doubted or discouraged by their family or friends, while trying to pursue something that means everything to them.
Dorja – “Fire”
Dorja is a new all-female act featuring Becky Baldwin (Triaxis, IDestroy, ex-Control The Storm). of the band come from England, Belgium, Los Angeles and Kazakhstan – quite the mix! Their first single, “Fire”, dropped yesterday and it’s a great, rocking little number.
The band will play their debut shows in a few select cities in the UK. Currently announced gigs are Thursday 21st July in Watford and Friday 22nd July in Birmingham. I’m sure we’ll be hearing more from them in the coming weeks.
