Monday Video Roundup: The Spitfires, Wolf Hoffmann (Accept), The White Buffalo, Pranx

I’m on holiday and Mondays still piss me off *punches Monday in the face*

The Spitfires – “On My Mind”

OK, this calm, up-tempo rock number may have helped a little. “On My Mind” is the second single to be taken from A Thousand Times, due for release on August 26th. The track is a free when you pre-order the album on iTunes now. You can catch the band on a headline tour of the UK from August to November.

Wolf Hoffmann – “Night on Bald Mountain”

Accept’s guitar powerhouse, Wolf Hoffmann, released his second solo album on Friday through Nuclear Blast, entitled Headbangers Symphony – an album completely dedicated to the grand classic maestros. To mark the occasion, this brand-new music video for “Night On Bald Mountain” was released also. Older readers may recognise it as one of the pieces used in Disney’s classic Fantasia film – a section apparently being adapted into a full length movie.

You can see him with the rest of the band when they tour with Sabaton in the new year.

The White Buffalo – “I Got You” (ft Audra Mae)

A little bit more laid back, The White Buffalo play “a mix of hardcore country, southern rock and deep soul” according to Classic Rock.  Led by singer/songwriter Jake Smith, they are one of the stars of the soundtrack to Sons Of Anarchy. Smith’s rough-hewn vision of Americana provided the backdrop throughout the series, most memorably, in the season 4 finale,”Come The Murder”.

The White Buffalo are touring the UK this month, and note a venue change for Glasgow – they’re now playing the ABC on the 19th.

Pranx – “Pogo Romance”

We featured Pranx recently as a Band of the Day, and Marcel from the band dropped me a message this morning to let me know about their new video. Bouncy pop-punk. That should shake the cobwebs away.
