Another week gets firmly underway and day two of this one brings us a handful more tracks for the “you need to listen to this” collection…
Doomsday Outlaw – “Bring You Pain”
No-nonsense balls-out rock’n’roll from Doomsday Law’s Suffer More album. Bassist Indy Chanda explains a bit about it:
The song’s about everyone who’s had a beautiful relationship implode on them and dealt with it in, perhaps, not the healthiest way – by going out and making questionable decisions and being a bit of a dick. But rather than make it miserable and angry – we decided to hitch it up to a neck-snapping blues stomper and celebrate the fact that you sometimes need to let off some steam!
Eyexist – “Chronicles of Survival”
Eyexist are a new-ish band with their first album, The Digital Holocaust, due out in Autumn. The project is fronted by Jean Beaulieu formerly of Gorelust, and guitarist Francis Bouillon.
Shallow Side – “Rebel”
Kicking butts and chewing gum, Alabama hard rockers Shallow Side have released the Official Video for “Rebel”, the first single off of their debut album, One. Shot in the bands hometown of Cullman, AL, “Rebel” was directed by Jim Foster at Red 13 Media. If you like Black Stone Cherry et al then you need to give this one a whirl.
William Rogue – “Eating Lunch In My Car”
Something slightly oddball but annoyingly catchy to round up. William Rogue is the former frontman of noughties Glaswegian rock band The Blimp, which probably explains the Tunnock’s Teacake in the video despite it being set in the US… “Eating Lunch In My Car” is the first single from forthcoming album Lemons & Limes which is due out on August 26th.
