Wednesday Video Roundup: Heavy Oil, The Lounge Kittens, Newmoon, Feed Them To The Forest

Nearing month’s end and payday for many of you so settle down and start eyeing up these beauties. One of them could convince you to throw a few quid at a nice new album or two…

Heavy Oil – “Midnight Train”

The band dropped me a quick message asking me to check out their recent video. Of course, I just had to it on to you lot. Like your classic Thunder-esque heavy rock with an edge of Southern chucked in there? Then Heavy Oil could be for you…

The Lounge Kittens – “Africa”

There’s no hiding the fact that The Lounge Kittens are a favourite here at Moshville Towers and they’ve been working on an album, Sequins and C-Bombs, courtesy of a Pledge campaign. With 50+ days until release, there’s still plenty of time to reserve yourself a copy. Here’s the track they’ve been teasing to those already signed up for the last week.

Newmoon – “Head Of Stone”

An atmospheric and trippy bit of alt-rock from Newmoon’s debut album Space next. The album’s out in on October 14th.

Feed Them To The Forest – “Black Canary”

Finishing off the midweek collection with a bouncy collection of melodies from York’s Feed Them To The Forest. Vocalist, Elliot Partridge explains:

Black Canary is about jealousy, paranoia and the pitfalls of finding fault with others’ successes rather than addressing your own personal shortcomings. But, at the same time, how you shouldn’t always take things at face value – sometimes it’s okay to be cynical.
