Tuesday Video Roundup: Memphis May Fire, Chasing Cadence, The Devil Wears Prada, Illyrian

Doesn’t the first day back after a long weekend always feel worse than the regular start to a week? Well, to tide yourself over, wrap your lugs round this lot. And if you didn’t get the long weekend then take these as a consolation.

Memphis May Fire – “This Light I Hold” feat. Jacoby Shaddix

Memphis May Fire have released a video for the title track from their fourth album This Light I Hold. The song features Papa Roach singer Jacoby Shaddix, who stars as a major character in the epic video. Be sure and play close attention to another special guest appearance, which is revealed at the end of the video. Matty Mullins:

We couldn’t be more excited about the release of “This Light I Hold” today! Jacoby was the perfect fit as a guest vocalist on this track and I believe it’s some of our best work to date!

The Light I Hold (the album) is out 28th October via Rise Records and the band will be touring the UK this coming winter. Pre-order the album via these Amazon links and this site: [amazon text=&asin=B01KQNZ9IS] / [amazon text=CD&asin=B01LDCKACQ]

Chasing Cadence – “Watching The World”

Hertfordshire alt-rockers Chasing Cadence are pleased to reveal their new single “Watching The World” , the latest track to be taken from the band’s new EP Destroy Something Beautiful which stormed into the iTunes Rock Chart Top 10 on release. The EP is out now and available to purchase from all good digital retailers.

The second part of a special trilogy of videos for each single from the record that follows the same narrative, it’s another intense and thrillingly cinematic slice of action. Previously in the trilogy (“Everyone Relax”), Jack Harris (vocals) and Rob Barlow (rhythm guitar) have set up a heist and robbed a gangster at gunpoint, and as henchmen chase the band down, Barlow has driven off & escaped leaving Harris for dead.

The Devil Wears Prada – “To The Key Of Evergreen”

Most of The Devil Wears Prada’s videos have tread into unusual territories, and, as it tells a powerful love story that transcends time and space, the one for the band’s new song “To The Key of Evergreen,” is no exception.

With inspiration from Mike Hranica’s all-time favorite love story, Vladimir Nabokov’s “Lolita”, the “To The Key of Evergreen” video follows a young man who crosses impossible barriers of dimension and time to be with his true, lost love.

You can catch the guys on tour later this year, ing (coincidentally) Memphis May Fire whose video you should already have checked out!
