Raging Speedhorn – “Bring Out Your Dead” ( 2016)
Corby sextet Raging Speedhorn have released a video for new single “Bring Out Your Dead” ahead of their run with Skindred!
The track, which received its debut on Dan Carter’s BBC Radio 1 Rock Show recently, was filmed during the band’s appearance at Festival earlier this year. Guitarist Jim Palmer had this to say of the tour with Skindred:
We’ve known those guys for years, Benji longer because of Dub War. We are really happy to be able to go out and play these shows with them, it’s going to be so much fun. Skindred have grown into such an incredible band so it’s an honour to be asked to do this. It’ll be like stepping right back to those days in the early 2000’s when we last shared a stage. Bring on the party!
Rootwork – “Zero”
Sludge-pop three piece Rootwork have released the video for their ferocious track “Zero”, taken from their forthcoming EP Some Of Us May Never Bloom, out on 18th November 2016 via Ubiquity Project Records.
Windwaker – “Castaway”
Melbourne-via-Wagga Wagga (yes, it’s a real place) metalcore dudes Windwaker have released their debut single “Castaway” along with a stark, striking video for the track.
Recorded in September at STL Studios and Produced, Engineered, Mixed and Mastered by Sonny Truelove and Additional engineering by Evan Lee, Castaway thematically explores the fear of ageing; not fulfilling your dreams/goals and leading a life without meaning or purpose. Castaway is Windwaker’s first studio produced song and will be on their EP, which was also recorded at STL Studios and is also their first song under their new genre, which is a complete stylistic change from their pop roots.
Cold Summer – “Car Crash (In Progress)”
Leeds-based Cold Summer have just released the third single from their critically acclaimed EP Fight to Survive. The band have recently played Long Division festival alongside bands such as Gang Of Four, Allusondrugs & Los Campesinos and contributed this track several charity compilations including Might As Well – a three part 60 track compilation to benefit Stop Hate UK and also Struggletowns records Kereru – Benefit Compilation. The track has also received notable airplay on BBC Introducing, Real Rock Show, EGH Radio Rocks, Way Out Radio, Switch FM, and the Breaking Rock Show.
