You’re reading this as I take my first day off the site in… erm… a year or two? Making sure you’re not going without, though, here’s a pre-scheduled quartet of music to tide you over until youre back enjoying work again tomorrow!
Nightwish – “Stargazers (live in Tampere)”
Another track from the forthcoming Vehicle of Spirit collection which Talia reviewed recently. Out on December 16th, it’s a cracking collection of live material from a band at their peak.
Fraser Edwards – “Alone”
A blast of speed/power metal from Fraser Edwards’ new album I Am God, which came out last week.
Doomsday Outlaw – “Walk On Water”
Released on Friday just gone (25th November) “Walk On Water”, is taken from Doomsday Outlaw’s acclaimed album, Suffer More.
Bassist, Indy Chanda, says:
“Walk On Water” is the opening track of our current, self released album, Suffer More and is a great way to discover Doomsday Outlaw with its blend of southern, blues and hard hitting rock n roll.
Singer, Phil Poole, adds:
“Walk On Water” is my view on organised religion, those so called churches that are just there to prey on the vulnerable.
The video was produced by Very Metal Art.
Our Hollow, Our Home – “Worms Wood”
Southampton’s melodic metalcore bruisers Our Hollow, Our Home are excited to reveal the video for their new single “Worms Wood”. A goliath of a song, “Worms Wood” is a future metalcore classic – an infectious chorus, titanic grooves and riffs and heartpounding growls from vocalist Connor Hallisey. Topped off by a memorably dark video, “Worms Wood” marks the band as a group deserving of all their attention and hype.
Details of the band’s debut album will be released in December. In the meantime, there are two live dates which may be of interest:
- 02 – LONDON Scala (Facedown)
- 03 – WEYMOUTH Finns
