Monday Video Roundup: The Unguided, Circle of Dust, Accept, Onydia

Blasting off in the countdown to the silly season. Our “12 Songs…” feature kicks off tomorrow, so you’ll get an extra track each day as well. You’re spoiled. And we don’t even care if you’re naughty or nice. We’re better than Santa, we are.

The Unguided – “Nighttaker”

As you may already know, guitarist and singer Roland Johannsson has decided to leave The Unguided for reasons of “time” – as in, he has other commitments and only so many hours in the day. Believe me that’s something we can relate to here at Moshville Towers! His replacement is Jonathan Thorpenberg who has already toured with the band.

The Unguided have been at pains to ensure people know there are no bad feelings, and that Roland can – and almost certainly will – make semi-regular re-appearances with them as scheduling allows. In the meantime, here’s a new track from forthcoming 2-track EP Brotherhood (out on Dec 23rd).

Circle of Dust – “Embracing Entropy” (feat. Celldweller)

Industrial pioneer Circle of Dust has unveiled a new lyric video for “Embracing Entropy”, taken from the new full-length studio album Machines of Our Disgrace released at the end of last week via FiXT.

“Embracing Entropy” is a high energy mid-tempo track featuring Circle of Dust’s more electronic alter-ego, Celldweller.

Accept – “Pandemic (live)”

On January 13th, heavy metal titans Accept will deliver their new live package release, Restless And Live. This set will not only include the entire show that Accept played at Bang Your Head!!! Festival 2015 on Blu-ray/DVD, but also two live CDs with different recordings from their most recent European tour. Wolf explains:

It was actually never really planned, it sort of just happened. At ‘Bang Your Head!!!’ they always record their shows so we just thought: ‘Yeah, let them film it!’ We’ve been there before so it felt familiar to film it and see what happens. Then we got the footage and we thought: ‘Wow, it’s pretty good!’

Onydia – “Dyaphany”

Onydia is the new project born from the hands of Eleonora Buono (Ex-Elarmir), Daniele Amador (Ex-Elarmir, Ade) and Luca Zamberti (Ex-Elarmir). After sharing the stage with bands like Arch Enemy, Epica, Sirenia and Amorphis, they continued with their new chapter: Onydia, prog metal with mystical sounds.

The Onydia name was created from two greek words, oneiro(dream) and diafanìs (transparent). The band signed a record deal with Revalve Records for the release of their new single in autumn 2016 and their debut album wich will be released in the first months of 2017 – expect some special guests!
