Video Roundup: Municipal Waste, American Opera, The Fell, The Fading, Transit Method, Quinn Sullivan

Today’s my youngest daughter’s birthday. To celebrate, we’ll be having cake and sweeties and jelly after getting up far too early so she could open all her presents. Being lovely, I’m spreading the joy by giving you lot a bunch of new stuff to listen to as well.

Municipal Waste – “Breathe Grease”

Richmond Virginia’s Municipal Waste released their highly anticipated sixth album, Slime And Punishment, one month ago (and we reviewed it). Not only did the album debut on multiple Billboard charts, it also saw the highest first week sales for the band. In celebration, the band has delivered a new music video in the form of the most epic rager.

American Opera – “Jack Pine”

American Opera, the creation of NYC singer-songwriter John Bee, is debuting an animated music video for the track “Jack Pine” from the new album Small Victories.

The Fell – “Footprints”

Newly formed alternative rock band The Fell have released the official music video for their debut single, “Footprints”. “Footprints”, filmed in a bomb shelter and biological weapons test site on an active military compound in Poland, will be featured on their album, release date yet to be announced.

The Fell is an exciting new band consisting of rockers Toby Rand (RAND, Juke Kartel and Rock Star: Supernova) on vocals, Guitar player Mike Krom (Multi-Platinum music producer and session guitar player), Randy Cooke (notorious session/touring drummer who has recorded/played with a laundry list of greats) and last, but not least, Billy Sheehan (Mr. Big, Winery Dogs) on bass, who needs no introduction.

The Fading – “A Moment Of Insight (feat. Anneke van Giersbergen)”

Formed in 2000, Israel’s The Fading (then known as Excessum) struggled to establish a solid line up but once they had the ‘magic formula’ in place, they wasted little time spreading their name far and wide in the global metal community. Earlier this year the band once again returned to Russia opening for In Flames and filmed a brand-new video for the song “A Moment of Insight” featuring the captivating vocals of Anneke van Giersbergen.

Transit Method – “Snake Wine”

Transit Method have premiered their new video for “Snake Wine”. The video was directed by Justin Wilson of Leaders & Flares and guest stars Mike Wiebe of Riverboat Gamblers. The song is taken from their full length, We Won’t Get Out Of Here Alive, which drops on August 18th.

Quinn Sullivan – “Midnight Highway”

Quinn Sullivan has been a music professional for more than 75 percent of his life. He’s shared the stage with Buddy Guy, Eric Clapton, Los Lobos, The Roots, Derek Trucks, Susan Tedeschi and Joe Bonamassa, and he opened for B.B. King, who later invited him to play his treasured “Lucille” guitar.

Check out the video for “Midnight Highway”, taken from the new album Midnight Highway, out now via Mascot Label Group/Provogue.
