Video Roundup: The Fell, Dream Awake, Psy:code, The Lurking Fear, Chambers, Rob Jarvis and The Mercury Sons

In a vain attempt to catch up on the staggering number of videos we got last week, here’s another baker’s half dozen. Which I assume is the same as anyone else’s half dozen.

The Fell – “Footprints”

Stop me if you’ve heard this before… Newly formed alternative rock band The Fell have released the official music video for their debut single, “Footprints”. “Footprints”, filmed in a bomb shelter and biological weapons test site on an active military compound in Poland, will be featured on their album, release date yet to be announced.

If that sounds familiar, it’s because we featured the video a week or so ago. However…

The Fell is an exciting new band consisting of rockers Toby Rand (RAND, Juke Kartel and Rock Star: Supernova) on vocals, guitar player Mike Krom (multi-Platinum music producer and session guitar player), Randy Cooke (notorious session/touring drummer who has recorded/played with a laundry list of greats) and last, but not least, Billy Sheehan (Mr. Big, Winery Dogs) on bass, who needs no introduction.

Ah. The band introduced new singer Anthony De La Torre recently, who you may also know as Young Jack Sparrow in Pirates of Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales. As such, they re-released the video with their new member!

Dream Awake – “Heavy Heart”

Rising melodic metalcore crew Dream Awake release their sophomore EP Don’t Hold Your Breath, on Friday 18th August. Before then, the hotly-tipped quintet have set loose their new video single “Heavy Heart”.

Pulling from the layered intensity of In Hearts Wake, and the heaviness and atmospherics of The Amity Affliction and Northlane, Dream Awake take from their predecessors and have refined their own compelling sound that is fierce, dynamic, forceful, and utterly engaging.

Psy:code – “Leech”

Mørke, the new album from Copenhagen-based modern hardcore group Psy:code is out now on Pavement Entertainment. The official video for album cut “Leech” has been released as well. Check out the video at

Psy:code is a band driven by a desire to reach beyond its own boundaries. The band’s first two releases, Delusion and Cause and Neglect, were met with critical acclaim by critics worldwide. The praise was not met with complacency and Psy:code set the bar higher when writing their third album. Mørke is a natural progression, but remains grounded in the roots planted by its predecessors.

The Lurking Fear – “The Starving Gods Of Old”

Swedish death metallers The Lurking Fear are about to drop their debut album – Out Of The Voiceless Grave is set for release via Century Media Records worldwide on August 11th, 2017.

A new single entitled “The Starving Gods Of Old” has been launched via a lyric video created by Costin Chioreanu / Twilight 13 Media, based on the album’s artwork by Stefan Thanneur.

Chambers – “Down The Rabbit Hole”

Hull and Leeds based sister-doom duo Chambers have revealed the video for their new single “Down The Rabbit Hole” which is out now via I’m Not From London Records.

Commenting on the inspiration behind the video for the track, the band said:

We filmed the video in four scenes which each highlight different moods and emotions experienced in relationships. The song was originally written with an Alice In Wonderland theme in mind. Sometimes in life you can feel like you’re sinking down into a bottomless pit, much like the one in Alice in Wonderland, where the more you worry about a situation, the worse it gets and you ultimately sink further and further in to a pit of self-doubt.

Rob Jarvis and The Mercury Sons – “End Of Our Days”

Fresh from another incredible show, this time in London, Rob Jarvis and The Mercury Sons are back with their stunning new single “End Of Our Days”. This single received its debut airplay with Ollie Winiberg on his BBC Introducing show on BBC Radio Essex.

The alternative rockers released their debut single “Just To Make You Happy” earlier this year. The single nabbed airplay on Alex Baker’s Kerrang Radio Fresh Blood Show, as well as countless amount of regional stations up and down the country. The band then went on to play their debut show in Newcastle, which sold out.
