Video Roundup: Galactic Cowboys, Ursus, Cold Snap, Stand Alone, Axemaster, Wedge

A little birthday present to myself. Half a dozen spanking new videos from the world of rock and metal. I couldn’t ask for anything more…

Galactic Cowboys – “Zombies”

Galactic Cowboys have unveiled their awesome Horror-directed music video for “Zombies”, taken from their brand new album Long Way Back To The Moon which out now via Cool Green Recordings/Mascot Label Group.

Speaking about the video, which the band worked on with classic Horror directors Jeremy Sumrall and John Hale, singer Ben Huggins explains:

We teamed up with horror aficionado/movie directors Jeremy Sumrall and John Hale on this one. I think we successfully captured the essence of this band: heavy riffs, vocal harmonies, steeped in our own sense of humor. It’s just another – boy meets girl – boy fights zombie – girl fights zombie – the world ends, love story. Classic. Everyone can relate.

Ursus – “Hallowed Shakes”

Hailing from the South West of the UK, metal quartet Ursus have revealed the video for their new single release “Hallowed Shakes”. “Hallowed Shakes” is an emotionally driven song and showcases what the band are capable of; you can really hear the sadness and compelling empathy of the track in both the music and the vocals.

Cold Snap – “Straight To Hell”

Croatia’s top metal band Cold Snap are back! After a difficult lineup change, the band have teamed up with Hell Energy Drink to release a new lyric video for the song “Straight to Hell”. The video was directed by Dora Jovanovska, and the song is taken from their full-length album entitled World War 3 which was produced by Tue Madsen (Suicide Silence, The Haunted, Dir En Grey) at Antfarm Studios, Denmark.

Stand Alone – “Save You”

Yorkshire natives Stand Alone are proud to present their biggest and most catchy single to date, the hugely infectious “Save You”!

With their latest single, the Bradford three piece have crafted a modern rock ear worm that will instantly lodge itself in the listener’s head from the instant the grumbling intro hits the speakers. If that doesn’t get you, the main riff certainly will and the chorus is destined to be sung in large venues by even larger audiences. But enough hype from us, please check out the song and the combative video that accompanies it below.

Axemaster – “10,000 Pound Hammer”

Axemaster has released a new video for the song “10,000 Pound Hammer”. The song is on the new album Crawling Chaos, which was released November 24th, 2017 via Pure Steel Records. The album is available as CD and .

Wedge – “Lucid”

Berlin’s supreme classic rock trio Wedge present the first video taken off their second album Killing Tongue, to be issued this February 9th on Heavy Psych Sounds.

“Lucid” is about a certain state of dreaming in which you become aware that you are dreaming. It’s called “lucid dreaming” and it requires training in order to obtain this ability. Once you master it, you can do virtually anything within your dreams… which can be pretty psychedelic… or scary, depending on what you’re up to. The video was shot in Leipzig by some dear friends of ours.
