We skipped yesterday as real life got in the way (or whatever es for real life today). Thankfully we have six great new songs and videos for you to check out to make up for it. Phew.

Midgar

Midgar became the third band to Year Of The Rat Records since the companies inception in July 2020, ing Lastelle and The Young Hearts on the labels roster. Midgar will release their album Unity in 2021 and started the cycle with “We Don’t Make The Rules” which was released on the 18th December 2020. The single picked up coverage with Kerrang Radio as ‘Featured Artist Of The Week’, Radio Plus, Alyx Plays Punk, Endeavour FM, BT TV, Moshville Times, Gig Radar and Total Rock Radio, as well as landing official playlisting with Deezer and Pandora. Second single “Nemesis” shows the band at their most fierce with a powerful protest message.

To The Grave

Sydney, Aus deathcore quintet To The Grave have announced the release of new album, Epilogue, out 16th April via Unique Leader Records, and have unveiled single / video “[•REC]”.

To The Grave’s objective has always been to create sonically and thematically heavy music, charged with a grim, confronting message. Featuring their entire self-released debut album Global Warning, plus seven new songs, Epilogue is a huge 19 tracks of intense brutality. It’s available for pre-order now.

der Mist

Glasgow-based duo der Mist are readying themselves for the first release from their forthcoming self-titled debut album, an intoxicating mix of rock, pop and electronics which looks to propel der Mist into your midst! Dedicated to making music designed to stand the tests of both time and tastes, der Mist are by turn indie, pop, new wave, rock and synth Gods. Their new single is “Step into the Light”, showing an alt-rock side to the band with some Beck-esque quirkiness and some furious, inventive guitar riffs!

Tallah

Nu-Core is the genre on the tip of everyone’s tongue right now, and Pennsylvanian outfit Tallah continue to lead the charge. Fronted by Justin Bonitz, whose versatile and unhinged vocal stylings have attracted the attention of the masses, and backed by second generation drummer Max Portnoy, the two musicians have combined their musical and artistic influences to create a 13 track nu-metal-meets-hardcore opus that ended up on many end of 2020 album of the year lists.

Following the successful album release of Matriphagy, Tallah have announced news to their fans that they have launched a Patreon. Tallah have also fortified and roused the video for “Cottonmouth” with the album version of the track and a new cut of the video, highlighting its frenetic visuals, and pinpointing it as one of the first ever self-produced videos that Tallah made.

Giotopia

As you might or not might know, Giotopia have been releasing each song in video form for the new album. This will be the final video before the actual album release. Spelljammer

Stockholm, Sweden based trio Spelljammer share the first video from their forthcoming album Abyssal Trip today alongside an in-depth interview with Invisible Oranges.
