Insomnium
On February 24th 2023, Finnish metal melancholists Insomnium will release their ninth full-length, Anno 1696, via Century Media Records. The third single and music video for “The Witch Hunter” is available now.
This is Markus Vanhala’s composition; it actually does not really sound like the archetypal Insomnium song and has some very interesting elements. One of the songs that improved the most in the studio in my opinion – and became one of the singles. Lyrically it continues to tell the story from the witch hunter’s point of view.
Tragedy
One of New York City’s most famous tribute bands and the undisputed inventors of “disco metal” – recently announced their new, full-length album, I Am Woman, out March 3, 2023 via Napalm Records. Flipping the script on sleaze rock tropes, I Am Woman pays tribute to the most powerful force in the band’s lives, celebrating womanhood in all forms on 14 newly-reinvented disco and soft rock anthems!
Anita Pointer sadly ed away very recently, and this is our tribute to her and her sisters’ impact on music, as well as, of course, their everlasting and unbridled enthusiasm for ‘pleasures in the night’ on this track.

Kardinal Sin
Get ready for an apocalyptic journey! March 3, 2023 will see Swedish melodic power/heavy metal act Kardinal Sin release their forthcoming studio album, entitled S.A.L.I.G.I.A, via Massacre Records.
Now, the band has shared a music video for their first single, “Siege Of Jerusalem”, featuring Ellinor “Hellinor” Asp on guest vocals!
Cobra The Impaler
Belgian fast growing act Cobra The Impaler released a brand new video for “Spirit Of Lyssa” on the 16th of January 2023.
It is taken from their debut album Colossal Gods released on Listenable last year. While Colossal Gods was mostly made and finalized in the band home country and mastered by Jens Bogren in Sweden, the drums were recorded at Northwood Sound Studios in Los Angeles displaying the stunning work of drummer extraordinaire Dirk Verbeuren (Megadeth).

Italian melodic death Embryo is sharing the first glimpse of brutality from their forthcoming fifth album A Vivid Shade on Misery, which features the band’s recruitment of international drumming powerhouse George Kollias (Nile) for its recording.
Yfel 1710
Polish black metal act Yfel 1710 have released a new video to the track “Zbieracz Ciał” (translates to “Body Collector”). The track comes off the band’s latest album, Zlatują się Ćmy, which was released via Pagan Records earlier this year.
