Hailing from Bournemouth, 4 piece Thuum were formed in 2014 initially as a sludge band, but now lean more on the modern groove/metalcore side, whilst staying true to their roots. Despite being 100% independent they are two times Bloodstock Alumini, playing the New Blood Stage in 2017, and Sophie Stage in 2022, and have played with heavy hitters such as Crowbar, Orange Goblin, Soulfly, Employed To Serve, Lo! and more.
After the pandemic, a newly lineup emerged, and armed with new material, returned to the live circuit. In early 2024, Thuum returned to the studio for the first time in 6 years, and in July released the first single “Grand Deceivers” from a forthcoming album, mixed and mastered by Lewis John (Conjurer, Employed To Serve, Loathe, Earthtone 9 etc).
Now, on Tuesday 11th February 2025, they have released their new video single “Echelon”, with audio streaming going live next week! “Echelon” is again recorded by the band and mixed and mastered by Lewis John, with the video directed and edited by Scott Chalmers and features a new modern, groove style for the band!
