With provocative lyrics and a scathing critique of the human condition, power, and violence, the single “Inferno Nuclear“, which will be part of the second album by the Pará-based thrash metal band, has also received a lyric video. Wellington Freitas (vocals), Leonardo Garcia (guitar), Leandro Kronnos (bass), and Marcos Luz (drums), now based in São Paulo, recorded the follow-up to “Diante de um Holocausto“ (2021) at Madness Music Studio (Jardim da Conquista, SP), with production by Thiago Bezerra.
Musically, the single features electrifying riffs reminiscent of bands like Vio-Lence, while Wellington Freitas’ vocals evoke Chuck Billy (Testament) and Rob Dukes (Exodus). The powerful chorus, which chants the band’s name, Inferno Nuclear, is a resounding warning that aligns with the song’s theme.

“The single, which features cover art by Kleber Guimel, precedes our album scheduled for release on May 12. It brings to light issues surrounding war and violence in the contemporary world. In a geopolitical context marked by tension, the lyrics address the Cold War and the possibility of a Third World War, reflecting on conflicts that have claimed thousands of lives,” explains Wellington Freitas. “In recent years, the world has witnessed devastating humanitarian crises. The war in Syria, the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, and the situation between Israel and Palestine are just a few examples of how humanity remains in a constant state of alert,” he adds.
