[avatar =”wolfie” size=”50″ align=”left” /]I will never forget the first time I heard Ghost, which was when the song “Ritual”first came to light from the band’s first album Opus Eponymous. Since then the band have evolved and are now very popular. Now they are back with their third full-length album, complete with 41 minutes of pure beauty with incredible melodies, harmonies and unholy lyrics you just want to sing over and over.

“From the Pinnacle to the Pit” starts off with a beautiful heavy bass line with a catchy chorus it is almost impossible to not sing, with melodies that fit so perfectly together and does not cease to be a good song, and should be hailed as a classic by the band.

Another track on the album Cirice which was available as a free earlier this year, just shows what talent the band has with Papa Emeritus III’s vocals sounding as strong and as good as ever, and again this should definitely be named as another top song.

The track that really stands out on the album has got to be “Majesty” with its heavy riffs, vocals and the combination of beautifully dark lyrics with catchy melodies. It just shows what Ghost is all about.

An album with zero faults and songs that just make you want to sing until your lungs hurt, and all you want is for the album to keep on going… but sadly all good things must come to an end. Another amazing job by Ghost.

Meliora is released on August 21st, 2015.
