[avatar =”wolfie” size=”50″ align=”left” /]The Finnish band, originally formed in 1993 under the name of Inearthed, have returned with their ninth full length album entitled I Worship Chaos following their 2013 release, Halo of Blood.

The album starts with the opening track “I Hurt”, a song full of beautiful melodies which mix perfectly with faster beats and rhythms. The song then becomes dynamic with the addition of symphonic metal and catchy lyrics. This theme is carried out throughout the album with songs such as “Morrigan” (check out the video below) and “Horns”.

The fifth track on the album “Prayer for the Afflicted” is a song where beautiful symphonic metal meets melodic death in perfect unison and gives the album so much depth. Add in the vocal skills of Alexi, and you have the makings of one of the most powerful and flawless songs on the album.

The album is also filled with catchy choruses that fit in so well with the songs themselves, especially with “Suicide Bomber”. This is a song that both fits with the rest of the album while standing out as something different.

The rest of the album is filled with songs so beautiful and melodic, with earworm riffs and top-notch vocals. Once again Children of Bodom have not failed to impress and have delivered a perfect album. The boys can get nothing but praise here.

I Worship Chaos is out on October 2nd through Nuclear Blast.
