Following up on 2007’s The Chronicles of Eden, Austria’s Edenbridge are set to release the next compilation The Chronicles of Eden Part 2 which not only features tracks from the fifth to tenth albums respectfully but also coincides with the band’s 20th anniversary.
This is very much for the fans, by the fans as the majority of the tracks were voted by those very people wanting to make this retrospective a unique experience. By doing it this way the band selected four tracks from each album as well as some surprises such as the re-recorded version of “Dynamind” and previously unreleased acoustic versions of “Paramount” and one of the band’s biggest hits, “Higher”.
One thing that has been a constant with Edenbridge has been the album art, with 2003’s Aphelion still being my favourite. The band still adhere to that high standards whilst still maintaining the level of spirituality as the image depicted on this double CD release was actually inspired from a vision vocalist Sabine had, linking the spiritual awakening to an Aurora Borealis.

Lastly, on a personal note, I really enjoyed getting reacquainted with Edenbridge once more as it must’ve been over a decade since I last listened to them. And let’s be honest – now is the perfect time to revisit their discography.
A great release that will unify fans new and old.
