I reviewed back in 2022. After the show I was talking to vocalist Rob about how much I’d enjoyed their set, and how the music sounded so much better live. He told me that they’d reworked the songs and that the live versions were based on these remixes. These were the songs as they were meant to be heard.
My main issue with the original EP had been the production. It was very trebly which just didn’t jibe with the heavy industrial sound they were going for. The remixes though… ooft. Everything is better. As they were meant to be heard indeed.
“Shockwave Theory / Human Revolution” gets things going and is just so much better with the extra work that’s been done to it. The bass drums still go right through you, but the splashy cymbals are now far less… splashy. The whole thing just sounds so much better, from the layered guitars to the spat-out lyrics.

This pattern continues throughout the whole album. The bass notes thrum, the guitars bite and the vocals are that bit clearer – which is good as the lyrics are worth listening to. If you’re going to listen to angry anarchic industrial metal then it deserves to sound polished, and Perfection of Human Error has been given the polish it deserved.
If you’re interested in comparing, then here’s the video for the original version of “Guns Guns Guns”. Give it a listen then scroll down for the far meatier “BFG Remix”. Then try and tell me that the extra work wasn’t worth it.
I said back in 2022 that Perfection of Human Error was something the band could be proud of. Well, it was. In a first draft kind of a way. What we have now is a finished product and it’s absolutely something you should be grabbing a copy of.
