[avatar =”wolfie” size=”50″ align=”left” /]After a last minute change of doors opening times, Ethereal are first up on stage whose immense performance is something rather spectacular. Although most of the floor has empty spaces it doesn’t stop the crowd from engaging with the band, and it doesn’t stop the energy from being raw and powerful from both band and crowd.

Next on stage is Hate (interviewed before the gig) who put on another brilliant performance tonight, with heavy and dark riffs, which turns part of the floor into a huge mosh pit, complete with crowd engagement. Again despite the floor having empty spaces the energy from the crowd is still there with horns being raised up high. With a setlist complete from both their latest album Crusade: Zero as well as some older songs and even a new one – “Hearts of Steel” – which shows more is still to come from the band.

Vital Remains are on the stage at 8:10 and whip the crowd into a mass of mosh pits and circle pits. Vocalist Brian causes some controversy by tearing a Bible on stage and throwing it to the crowd who tear it up further like a pack of hungry wolves. He then decides to jump off the speakers and stage dive into the crowd who pick him and put him back on the stage. An extreme and entertaining set by the American death metal band, another highlight of the night.

The last band of the evening, Belphegor, came on stage complete with songs such as “Gasmask Terror” and “Black Winged Torment”. They drive the crowd into a mass of horns and mosh pits from the front, with a stage of set of skulls and skeletons. Belphegor did not fail to impress tonight. Ending the night with “Bleeding Slavatio” which leaves the crowd calling for more. The perfect end to a perfect night.
