Just hours after the news broke that 73 Team Rock staff had been made redundant with zero pay a few days before Christmas, Orange Goblin front-man Ben Ward set up a JustGiving page to raise money for those affected. In addition, a fundraising show was organised at The Black Heart in Camden to raise further funds. Tickets for the show were only available on the door and sold out in just over ten minutes; testament to the generosity and solidarity of the rock and metal community.
Those lucky enough to get a ticket were treated to a fantastic set by Orange Goblin (a delight to see playing such an uncharacteristically small venue) plus from fellow Londoners Steak, who did a great job of warming up the crowd with their energetic set.

The 120-capacity room was packed and there was a wonderful atmosphere. Orange Goblin took to the tiny stage just after 9.45pm and played a mammoth set featuring a variety of tracks from their two-decade-spanning discography. A brilliant band playing an intimate show for a good cause… what more could you want on a Thursday night!
for the cause has been tremendous since the campaign began on 19th December. Whilst writing, the total stands at a whopping £85,403. If you wish to donate there are still 12 days left.
