Single Review: PRSNRS – “Helix”

Harking back to April, we released their debut single “Djently Does It”. Well, they’re on the cusp of releasing single number three (their second, “Altruist” came out in June) and we’ve already had a listen. Time to report back…

“Helix” is definitely heavier than the first single and gives the second a run for its money on this front – and wastes little time in making this known. While the verses are still filled with Aimi’s ethereal vocals, these are surrounded by crushing rhythms, crashing cymbals and are at times partnered by a harsher voice. This is progressive music, so expect things to be a little weird and experimental here and there, too.

Fans of the first two songs won’t be disappointed. “Helix” partners well with its forerunners, and from a personal perspective I think it’s their strongest release so far… but I prefer the heavier stuff!

“Helix” is released on July 22nd
