Single Review: Dead Label – “Embodiment of Agony”

Another band we’ve been following for fecking years, Ireland’s Dead Label never disappoint. They’ve recently lost a guitarist and gained a vocalist… who’s also their guitarist! Original member (they’re back to their founding trilogy) Danny Hall has ed regular growly scary frontman / bassist Dan O’ Grady on vocal duties. Not just backing, but alongside and on his lonesome as well. With the ever lovely-while-also-scary Claire Percival continuing to punish those poor defenceless drums, the band have dropped a member yet managed to expand their sound.

I’m going to be completely honest here… this is the best thing I’ve ever heard from Dead Label. It’s not just Danny nailing it, it’s the way it’s been done. The harmonies, the song itself, the whole package is just bang on. The fact they’ve enjoyed it enough to run the song to over five minutes is great, too, really giving fans a chance to soak in this new sound.

Check it out below and us in waiting to see how they follow this little gem…
