Not content with dropping the The Great War) on us recently, Sabaton have come up with another novel idea. They’ve given Finnish instrumentalists Apocalyptica a sneaky listen to a new song called “Fields of Verdun” and got them to cover it. How’s that for a way of giving us a sneaky listen to a song from the album without revealing it?
I watched Apocalyptica’s show in Madrid last year and I was blown away by the magic atmosphere they created. This made me excited to see what these fantastic musicians could do with a Sabaton song! And what would be more fun than to let them record their version of a song not yet released?
